Negative Experience with 2 Orders

I have two ongoing orders attempting to be completed. So this is a review in progress if you will.

I originally sent in glasses to get new lenses. I received them back fairly quickly (I'm at an APO in Germany, so shipping is inherently slow). Upon initial wear, I noticed that the scrip in the right eye was off. I took them to the optometrist where I'm at and they confirmed that the right eye had the wrong scrip in it. Customer service was great in helping me send the glasses back to get redone. I then received the redone glasses about a month or two later and to my dismay, I found that the prescription for the left eye was in the right lens and vice versa. So now lensabl offered to just send redone lenses to me, instead of having to ship my glasses back again. I'm now waiting on the 3rd set of lenses and I hope these are correct.

The other set of glasses I have been waiting on since late July and they have not passed quality control and haven't been shipped to me. I have pretty high astigmatism in my right eye but I sent lensabl an email with the name and specs for the frame and my prescription and they replied and said they could do it, so I sent them in. I have emailed them asking for an update and they replied that sometimes it can take a while due to quality and coatings.

I really hope to be getting what I ordered soon, as I have been waiting a while to wear some new glasses.

I don't think I will be ordering from Lensabl again even though they had pretty great customer service.

I don't recommend

they are too irresponsible at the time of delivery, they say a date and do not meet it, customer service is a constant mockery. I do not recommend them at all

Irregular fit

It was the third time that I used Lensabl so I was surprised when I found the lenses not to be fitting tightly into the frame (identical frame had been done perfectly well a few years ago. They move and squeek when I clean them.

It took six weeks to get my glasses

It took six weeks to get my glasses. Customer service kept sending me the same boilerplate response when I inquired about my order.

Took them 2 months to make my lens

Took them 2 months to make my lens. I didn't send in my Bose Soprano Frames thinking they should be able to make my lens without it since they also sell the frames with the lens as an option. I asked them and they confirmed that I can get the lens without sending in frames. Took them forever. When I finally got my lens, I had to send both lens and frames (with original case and non-prescription lenses) so they can install the lens - I did this after I brought both lens and frames to my clinic to verify that the lenses did not fit the frame. They verified so back they went. When I finally received my frames, they had installed a very different set of lenses! I feel so cheated! They didn't give me my original order! I had initially asked for Gold Mirrored Polarized lenses with the thinnest index. They stripped all that away and gave me the cheapest lenses with no options I paid for. And they refused refunds over and over again! I followed their terms and conditions but to no avail. Beware! They will NOT refund your money even if it's justified and within their terms and conditions.

Glasses Were Lost

Everything went smoothly at first, my glasses were received and seemed to be ready to be sent back out to me. Then there was no update for a while and the site continued to say they were ready for shipping. When I reached out for an update, I was told the glasses had been shipped to an incorrect address and they were trying to get them returned. I was asked where I purchased them in case they could not be recovered so that they could be replaced if needed. In this case, I was able to track down the website I originally bought them on and they did indeed replace my glasses. However I notice there is a line of scratches along the edge of the right lens that I'm concerned about spreading further to the center of the lens. Customer service was responsive and polite during all of this, but how long would I have been waiting to find out my glasses were lost if I hadn't reached out? What if my glasses weren't able to be replaced?

Great!

Absolutely wonderful experience. Ordered prescription sunglasses from Bose, which used Lensbl as their vendor for the lenses. Glasses are great, lenses are high quality. Order took a bit long but I'm sure that's because of the specialty lenses. Reimbursement from the HSA was simple. Just an excellent experience all around.

Your company lost my frames

Your company lost my frames. Took a month for me to follow up to let me know. Took another 2 weeks to order my frames. Been 2 months and still not done

I’m thrilled with my new glasses!

I’m thrilled with my new glasses!
I had to return the first pair sent, but the customer service was great and the next pair was perfect ! I had included a note with the pair I returned and hopefully that helped !
I’ll definitely be using Lensabl again!

Never again

Very difficult company to deal with. I will never use them again. Warby Parker has much better customer service. I ordered a prescription lense for my new Bose audio glasses. I provided the dr prescription and after manufacturing malfunction I finally got the lenses. However I could not see through them. Company blamed me for providing wrong order type. Extremely frustrating and still not resolved.

I have been promised a cancelation refund going on 6 mos. Via email and responses from BBB. Why is my refund not issued?

A:

Getting your money back from 'Lensabl' is more wishful than factual. I also filed a complaint about "Lensabl" with the 'BBB'. "Lensabl' didn't bother to answer 'BBB', until so many negative complaints started to pile up about them that they needed to address their "F" rating with the 'BBB'. This only occurred 1 year and 5 months after the complaint was filed. They take the money and run.

Try 7 months. It is truly awful. And yes there is no number.

A:

I had an old pair of vintage frames that were in a state of disrepair. I was quoted $1,000 for my eye glasses store to fix them. Lensabl did it for $130 and, in addition to replacing the lenses, they fixed the frame and added new nose pads. They whole thing took several weeks, but it was well worth it.

The first set of lenses they sent me didn't work properly. I was ready for a hassle, but they couldn't have been nicer. Returned the frames, new lenses for free. This time, perfection. I'm a client forever.
